I know a handful of you did not bring back your Maths Workbook home today, so here are the questions. Figure out the answers yourself. XD
Q61)
The salaries of A and B are in the ratio of 8:3. The salaries of B and C are in the ratio 5:12. Express the salaries of A,B and C in the form of ratio.
Q66)
A bus leaves Town X at 21 30 and arrives in Town Y at 0800 the next day. Calculate
(a) the time taken for the journey,
(b) the average speed of the bus, given that the distance from Town X to Town Y is 651km.
Q70)Mr Chai leaves his house at 0837 and travels by motor cycle to the railway station which 27km away. If he arrives at the station 36 minutes later, find the average speed at which he travels in km/h. How long will he have to wait if the train, due at 0942, is 11 minutes?
Q83) A telephone bill consists of a monthly rental fee of $12.50 and charges resulting from the number of calls made at 2 cents per call.
(a) In a particular, Miss Chen made 493 calls. How much was her bill?
(b) In another particular month, Mr Li paid a bill of $20.06. how many calls did he make in that month?
Q93) Given that 224 hours of work need to be done to complete a project.
(a) How long will it take 4 men, each working an 8-hour day to complete the project?
(b) If each of them is paid $7.50 per hour, how much will it cost to employ them altogether?
(c) How many hours of overtime must they put in per day if the project to be completed in 4 days?
(d) Given that the overtime rate of payment is 1/1/2 times as much as the regular hourly rate, find the cost of the project now.
Q95) A contractor agrees to lay a road 3000m long in 30 days. He employs 50 men who work for 8 hours a day. After 20 working days, he find out that only 1200m of the road is completed. How many more men are to be employed to finish the work on time if each man now works 10 hours a day?

Art again
Okay. I'm here to tell you all what to do for Art in case you didn't pay attention in class...>.< Like me.
First, you need to plan a story. Meaning to write out the whole story. It need not be long.
But not too short neither. Then, you need to draw out the main characters in your story, on
a piece of drawing block of course. Lastly, you need to find backgrounds for your characters.
I'm not sure how many backgrounds are needed, but better bring more than one. Any question,
you may sms me or ask me on MSN. :)

Yo. This is for the ppl who dont have their Sci notes. :D Im sorry, I only have some Transport in Living Things notes. D: I have more of respiration though. :D But I hope this can be some use. :D
Equation for Photosynthesis :
light + chlorophyll
Carbon Dioxide + Water -------------------> Glucose + Oxygen + Water
Use of Soda Lime : Prevent Carbon Dioxide from entering the jar.
Use of Pottasium Hydroxide : Absorb the remaining carbon dioxide in the jar.
Respiration is the process by which food molecules are broken down to release energy.
Aerobic Respiration = Respiration which requires oxygen
Aerobic Respiration can occur in muscle cells and yeast.
Word equation for the process is :
in living cells
Glucose + O2 --------------------> CO2 + H2O + energy
Anaerobic respiration occurs when oxygen is not available. It produces lactic acid that causes fatigue and cramps.
Breathing in humans is necessary to absorb oxygen into our blood. It is also necessary to remove carbon dioxide from our blood.
Respiration vs Breathing
1) Respiration takes place in every cell while Breathing only takes place in the lungs.
2)Respiration is the process that involves the RELEASE of energy from food while Breathing is the process of gaseous exchange.
3) Respiration uses the oxygen absorbed during breathing while Breathing removed carbon dioxide produced during respiration.
Photosynthesis vs Respiration
1) Photosynthesis is the process that makes food while respiration is the process where it uses food.
2) Photosynthesis produces oxygen while Respiration requires oxygen.
3) Photosynthesis uses carbon dioxide while Respiration produces carbon dioxide.
4) Photosynthesis needs chlorophyll while respiration does not need chlorophyll.
5) Photosynthesis needs energy while respiration produces energy.
6) Photosynthesis takes place when there is light while Respiration takes place ALL the time.
Moving on to Transport in Living Things.
There are two types of circulatory system.
1) Systemic ( rest of the system)
2) Pulmonary ( lungs)
Valves prevent the backflow of blood.
For the Heart, the thing above is called atrium and the thing below is ventricle.
Sorry I know its very lil for the Transport in Living Things, just make do with it. :D
